Hello everyone and welcome new members !!! Hope all of you enjoyed your holidays.

Our New Year's Eve Run was a great success. We had 280 runners / walkers compared to 260 last year. Thank you to all who volunteered your time, became a sponsor or made a donation. WIthout all your help we would not be able to hold an event of this size. Again, THANK YOU .

There will some changes going on at the Y. Some have already been completed such as a newly renovated community room, rearranging the fitness center and adding new programs. Please check out the Whats New at the Y.

Starting with February renewals, we will be sending you a health questionaire sheet. These sheets must be filled out and returned to us on a annual basis so we can update our files and keep our information current.

Also starting February 1st, the Board of Directors have voted on an increase of 5% for memberships. With the rising cost of all the insurances we must carry and the increase in utilities we need to use for the facility of this size, the increase was needed to help us keep up with these expenses. We realize that you are feeling the same increases in your lives, that is why I would like to remind you that we are a United Way Agency and therefore we have funds to help you with the cost of memberships.

To apply for United Way assistance please fill out a Financial Assistance Form, (available at the front desk) and return it to Jerry Huard, Executive Director. Jerry will arrange to meet with you to see what assistance he can provide. There is no set scale, it is based on income vs expenses.

Also, keep in mind our bank draft service. We can spread out your yearly payment over 12 months with an automatic withdrawal from a checking / savings account. Please contact Cathy Cooper, Membership Director, if this would make it easier on you.

New membership cars and renewed membership cards - In order to keep cost down we are handing out new membership cards at the front desk.
