STARS improvement

Bloomsburg Area YMCA's Care Program is proud to announce that we have moved up to a Star 1 as part of the Pennsylvania Keystone STARS program. Keystone STARS is a system that supports child care programs in improving quality.

Keystone STARS:  Improving the quality through

• Standards
• Training/Professional Development
• Assistance,
• Resources and
• Support

As child care programs increase their quality, they receive additional stars. Any DPW (Department of Public Welfare) regulated child care provider can participate to receive a star designation and to receive support grants, merit awards, or education and retention awards. A STAR 4 is the highest STAR rating a program can receive.
