Bloomsburg Area YMCA - Childwatch
Childwatch Program - Ages 6 wks to 10 years
The goal of the Childwatch program is provide quality care to children whose parents are in the Bloomsburg YMCA. This care is available to children 6 weeks through 10 years of age in a environment that is conducive to the development stimulation and safe care of all children.
There are certain requirements to follow for childwatch. When you apply for the program, you will receive a packet. In the packet you will find an emergency contact form ( must be filled out and returned prior to first day of Childwatch use) and a health assessment form which needs to be completed within 30 days of the first day of use of service. These forms need to be updated periodically ( you will be notified and receive new forms when it is time to update). We ask that the forms be filled out and returned promptly or your child will be unable to attend the Childwatch program.
Childwatch provides a nutritional snack for children while in the program. If you have questions or concerns about the snack provided, please speak with the Childwatch staff.
Please note that Childwatch requests that parents leave personal toys at home. Children who are 18 months and younger may bring a personal item from comfort purposes. The YMCA WILL NOT be responsible for items that are lost or broken.
If a child requires a diaper bag, please make sure the appropriate items that your child may need while in Childwatch are in the diaper bag. This includes diapers, bottles, pacifiers, etc. Please be sure to label these items with your child's last name.
Because of changing needs within the Childwatch program, we are now changing the hours that childcare is available. The schedule is:
- Monday - 8:45 - 11 AM / 4:15 - 6:30 PM
- Tuesday - 4:15 - 6:30 PM
- Wednesday - 8:45 - 11 AM / 4:15 - 6:30 PM
- Thursday - 4:15 - 6:30 PM
- Friday - 8:45 - 11 AM
- Saturday - 8:15 - 11:30 AM
Childwatch will only be offered on Saturday if there are 4 children signed up by Wednesday evening. No exceptions. The schedule is effective Monday, November 5,2007. Also, as a reminder children are not allowed in the aerobics room (during classes) or fitness center AT ANY TIME, FOR ANY REASON.
