Preschool

Our Preschool program is open to all children ages 3-5.
Preschool is held at the Bloomsburg Area YMCA and generally follows the Bloomsburg Area School District calendar.

Classes for 3-4 year olds
Meet two 1/2 days per week.
Classes emphasize socialization, language development, independence and motor skills in a small group setting, including regularly scheduled gym class.

Classes for 4-5 year olds
Two options: two 1/2 days per week or three 1/2 days per week.
Classes emphasize pre-kindergarten readiness skills and include field trips and regularly scheduled gym class.

Communication with Parents
Parents are kept informed through monthly newsletters, parent conferences, group meetings, and individual progress reports in January and May.

Faculty
Vicki Mihalik, Preschool Director, is a certified teacher with more than 30 years experience in special education, elementary and early childhood education, and is an "institution" at our YMCA Preschool.
Cindy Flick, Preschool Assistant, has more than 25 years experience working with Vicki and our children.
